Love Music DJ Academy

The Love Music Initiative DJ Academy is committed to educating and teaching DJ culture to students to assist them on their journey of becoming a better DJ. We offer individual or small group lessons. Sessions are 1 hour long and the lessons focus is on giving new, intermediate or advanced DJs the tools to advance themselves

Students will

  • Learn the basics to DJ
    • No equipment needed
  • Understand how to beat match + mix
  • Deepen their knowledge of DJ culture
  • Learn bar counting
  • Build and program your DJ sets
  • Improve scratch techniques
Process

Love Music takes a strength based learning approach to work with its participants and also creating group agreements determined by the participants to guide our time together

  • The Love Music staff will work with participants to educate them on the world of DJing
    • Have a consistent and specified classroom to create a sense of community
  • The sessions are broken down into 6, 9 or 12 week sessions
